Holistic Student Support

Operated the African Dream Camp from 2005 to 2011, delivering counseling and life skills education to 6,000 Liberian children through two-week sessions multiple times per year.

Offers vocational skills training to parents and community members, with approximately 560 currently enrolled (500 women and 60 men), and over 1,500 women trained since 2017. Graduated 350 adults in seven disciplines, equipping them with job-market-relevant skills.

Runs the Children's Health Clinic at African Dream Academy, providing free healthcare services to students, staff, and the surrounding community. The clinic opened in April 2016.

Provides full-time, tuition-free education from nursery through 12th grade to 1,500 students at two campuses in Paynesville, Monrovia, Liberia. The school was established in 2012 and expanded incrementally to include all grades, graduating its first senior class in 2022.

Hosts annual fundraising events including benefit concerts, movie screenings, seasonal shopping events, and campaigns such as the Dream Holiday Red Bag Campaign to support school operations and mission.

Supplies all enrolled students with daily meals, free healthcare through an on-site clinic, clean water, school uniforms, transportation, learning materials, and access to facilities including libraries, computer labs, and science labs.

Offers afterschool programming for students in grades K-5 to build foundational academic and social skills, providing a safe after-school destination and supporting success in high-performing middle schools.

Offers a Family Empowerment Program for NYC families using a 3C model to connect families to resources, provide social-emotional care, support personal wellness, and strengthen family relationships, including direct financial assistance and resource navigation for families experiencing food insecurity, housing instability, and lack of technology access.

Distributes wellness packages and hosts workshops to support family well-being, complemented by downloadable parent resources for families in New York City.

Provides holistic academic, social, and emotional care to hundreds of Latino students and families in Washington Heights through bilingual programs in English and Spanish, serving over a thousand students with long-term educational and developmental programming.

Provides a long-term mentoring program for students in grades K-12 that supports faith development, self-awareness, cultural identity, and healthy relationships through Saturday mentoring and volunteer pairings.

Runs an academic support and college preparation program for students in grades 6-12, including enrichment activities to promote long-term educational success.

Provides summer enrichment programming for children in grades K-5 focused on academic, social, and emotional learning to combat summer learning loss, featuring hands-on learning, field trips, group projects, and physical activities.

Runs weekly one-hour talent development projects that group students by shared interests or talents to foster engagement and personalized learning.

Provides small group and 1:1 academic instruction in core subjects across grade levels, combined with daily in-house executive functioning instruction in organization, planning, and time management for K–12 students.

Provides weekly instruction in visual art, music, theatre, applied engineering, computer science, and sports and movement arts led by specialist educators.

Authored a book chapter on the development of a novel twice-exceptional school model, contributing to the academic literature on supporting bright and creative students with learning difficulties.

Offers college counseling and transition support through a dedicated Director of College Counseling, including the Cloverleaf Transitions Program and individualized capstone projects to prepare students for post-secondary education and career pathways.
