Early Intervention

By intervening at the first sign of housing or financial instability, we prevent crises like eviction and homelessness, because timely support stops small problems from escalating into systemic failure. This strategy prioritizes proactive, rapid-response mechanisms—such as rental assistance, zero-interest loans, bill mediation, and financial coaching—before households reach emergency levels of distress. Unlike reactive models that engage after displacement occurs (e.g., shelter placement), this approach treats early warning signs as critical leverage points for preserving stability, reducing long-term system dependency, and maintaining community integration.
