By embedding nutrition services within early childhood education and care programs, improve child development and learning outcomes, because consistent access to nutritious food is foundational to cognitive, physical, and emotional growth and removes a key barrier to engagement in learning. This strategy unifies child care, education, and meal services into a single coordinated model, ensuring that basic nutritional needs are met as a prerequisite for developmental readiness. It is distinct from standalone food or education programs because it operates on the belief that integrating services increases accessibility, enhances program effectiveness, and strengthens family participation by addressing multiple needs simultaneously within the same setting.
