Artist-as-Educator Model

Hosts Salon programs at Village Hall that feature three artists per session across disciplines including writing, visual art, music, and crafts; also supports student artists by facilitating exhibitions in professional settings through a partnership with North Shore High School’s art department.

Organizes and hosts rotating art exhibitions in multiple venues including the Sea Cliff Village Library, Village Hall, and pop-up spaces; exhibitions feature local artists and thematic collections, with documented events such as "A Harbor Transformed," "Heads Up!," and a 40-year Hempstead Harbor advocacy showcase. Exhibitions often include opening and closing receptions, artist talks, and community engagement programming.

Provides hands-on arts programming including a mandala making and meditation workshop, a collage workshop titled "Get Your Head Together," and a paid writing program "You: On the Page, Continued!" for $100; also offers private instruction in double bass and music theory, and supports music education through sight reading and NYSMA evaluation preparation.

Organizes and hosts recurring community-wide arts events such as SpringFest, Chill Out, Second Sundays, Poetry in the Park, book readings, outdoor craft shows, and concerts at St. Luke’s; these programs engage local businesses and the broader community in public celebrations of the arts.

Hosts free art gatherings exclusively for SCAC members and offers no-cost public programs such as the Sea Cliff Poets poetry series, ensuring accessible participation in the arts for members and the broader community.

Composes and performs original music for theatrical productions such as 'Quixote' at Columbia University and 'The Reluctant Lovers' at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center; also creates and premieres instrumental works like the marimba quintet "Point to Line to Plane" at Queens College.

Provides tuition scholarships for studio and online classes, including full-tuition awards for youth aged 11–21 based on eligibility criteria. Offers named scholarships such as the Richard McDaniel Scholarship for committed fine arts students and the Logan’s Legacy Scholarship for working women.

Offers a library of recorded online art classes ranging from 50 to 60 minutes, covering techniques in abstraction, painting, printmaking, collage, and encaustic art. Registered students have access to recordings for 28 days after each session.

Organizes and hosts public art exhibitions and events, including the Woodstock Monoprint Invitational Exhibition and Auction and the opening reception for the Wax Currents exhibition, which support community engagement and fundraising.

Designs and installs murals and other public artworks in Genesee and Orleans counties, supported by state grants, to enhance public spaces and expand access to visual arts across the region.
