Provides dance, visual arts, music arts, and spoken word performances in a theater environment.

Commissions and presents world premieres of new compositions by contemporary artists, including works by Bruce Wolosoff and Carter Burwell. Recent premieres include cello sonatas Requiem for the Planet and Paradise Found, as well as pieces such as "Penumbra," "Blue Mantra," and "The Loom," often tied to thematic or environmental narratives.

Curates and performs in the Reflections in Music concert series, which reimagines classical music engagement through thematic programming, original compositions, and artist-led performances. The series includes both live and livestreamed events, such as the free concert "The World is Still Beautiful."

Conceived and led an eight-year creative orchestra program at Hayground School that taught students to compose, perform, and conduct music, fostering hands-on musical education and creative development.

Presents solo, chamber, and orchestral music integrated with text, images, film, dance, and poetry to explore connections between music and other art forms, with performances held in New York City and Sag Harbor, NY. Programs include thematic concert series such as "Time Remembered" and "Reflections on Debussy," often featuring live audience engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Produces and releases original music recordings and interdisciplinary art projects, including solo piano works and albums such as Memento (2023), Paradise Found (2022), and Rising Sun Variations. Also produces collaborative works integrating music with visual art, such as the release of "More Music Inspired by Visual Art" featuring music by Bruce Wolosoff and paintings by Eric Fischl.

Hosts a concert program with multiple performances weekly, including weekend series through May 2025 featuring works by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, and Dvořak. The organization presents both established and newly commissioned pieces in diverse chamber music formats.

Operates a concert venue at the uplands of Pier 5 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, having transitioned from its decades-long use of the EL 375 barge. The organization curates approximately five thousand chamber music concerts over more than thirty years, with hundreds presented annually.

Commissions and presents world premiere performances of new compositions, including Charles Wuorinen’s Trio No. 2, Clarice Assad's "Lilith" Concerto, Gabriel Prokofiev's Concerto for Minimoog Synthesizer, and "Painted Shadow," a work created specifically for Bargemusic.

Presents admission-free concerts at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse, offering accessible performances to the public. The 2025 season includes free admission for all concerts.

Hosts the admission-free "Music in Motion" family concert series on Saturdays, featuring one-hour performances and Q&A sessions with musicians to engage audiences of all ages. Also presents concert-and-conversation formats, such as performances of Beethoven’s piano sonatas accompanied by commentary and discussion.

Produces the HERE & NOW series featuring contemporary works and premieres, and the NEW ECLECTIC series that juxtaposes well-known and underrepresented composers. Also presents festivals and solo recitals that explore cross-cultural and historical musical connections, such as performances by the Joy Luck Trio blending Eastern and Western traditions.

Provides chamber music concerts that integrate visual and musical arts for the general public in the Hudson Valley area.

Collaborates with institutions such as American Opera Projects, TADA! Children’s Theater, Central Park Zoo, Montclair State University, University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, and others to co-produce performances and lead developmental workshops for new works.

Creates new professional-quality opera and music-theater works that address diverse global communities and underserved audiences, including youth and families. Productions include Flurry Tale, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Fireworks!, Animal Tales, CAT, Maya’s Ark, and Babar, The Little Elephant, with premieres in New York City and beyond.

Utilizes volunteers to support event planning, ticketing, guest services, refreshment service, artist liaison duties, mailings, data entry, research, budgeting, marketing, and social media management.

Produces interactive opera and musical performances that actively involve audience members in singing, percussion, and educational activities focused on literacy, spelling, counting, and self-worth. Also includes post-performance discussions with artists and audiences to explore thematic content.

Offers compensated roles for performers at $15 per hour during rehearsals and performances, including productions staged in non-traditional venues such as basketball courts and parks.
