Holistic Workforce Integration

Provides person-centered clinical treatment, peer support, community-based services, and employment support for adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Includes crisis services, psychiatric assessment, medication management, and integrated dual disorder treatment.

Operates a Benefits Advisement Program and Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) to help individuals with disabilities understand how employment affects Social Security, food stamps, and other public benefits, enabling them to transition to work while maintaining eligibility.

Offers a capacity-building training program that prepares entry-level retail employees for advancement to mid-level positions within the retail sector.

Provides day services focused on building skills in travel, socialization, money management, communication, and daily living for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Also offers weekend respite recreational activities such as museum visits, bowling, and dining.

Provides janitorial, facility maintenance, motor messenger, assembly, and packaging services across over 900,000 square feet in the New York City region for public and private sector clients.

Provides job training, placement assistance, and follow-up support to help individuals, including those with disabilities and other barriers to employment, achieve and maintain employment. Supported 12,704 individuals through these services.

Operates 42 retail stores and donation centers where donated goods are sold to the public, diverting millions of pounds of used goods from landfills annually. Accepted donations from over 872,913 individuals and repurposed 34,678,572 pounds of goods.

Offers customized vocational assessment, job placement, and ongoing job coaching for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Supported 4,498 people with disabilities through these services.

Operates GoodTemps, a nonprofit staffing agency that provides temporary work opportunities using a pool of 20,000 workers. Places individuals, including veterans and those with disabilities, in temporary and permanent roles across the NYC region and Northern New Jersey.

Accepts vehicle donations—including cars, motorcycles, boats, and trailers—with free towing and provides tax receipts within 24 to 48 hours of pickup.

Delivers long-term, individualized support integrating work and family needs to help individuals in underserved communities overcome crises, achieve stability, and plan for their futures. Serves more than 20,000 households annually through programs in New York City, Baltimore, Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, Connecticut, Arkansas, Churchville, Elkton, Waldorf, and Salisbury.

Provides long-term career case management, training, and job placement services to individuals facing employment barriers, including those reentering society after incarceration, with a focus on sectors such as manufacturing and construction. Connects job participants with over 200 employer partners and delivers post-employment support to promote retention and advancement.

Helps low-income families enroll in public benefits such as SNAP, health insurance, and other assistance programs using its proprietary EarnBenefits Online (EBO) software. Enabled 219,000 households to access over $307 million in benefits since 2005, including state-specific implementations like Connecticut’s EBO launch in 2017 and ongoing support for Maryland Health Connection.

Operates an On-the-Job Training program that provides up to 50% wage reimbursement to employers hiring individuals with partial skill alignment, enabling new hires to gain supervised work experience in high-demand industries while filling critical workforce gaps.

Helps workers displaced due to foreign trade impacts navigate eligibility requirements and enroll in Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) benefits to support reemployment and training.

Supports local businesses through customized recruitment, job fairs, job postings, lunch-and-learn events, and group training programs tailored to employer-specific needs, helping build and maintain a qualified workforce.

Operates the Aim Higher Youth Workforce Program for young adults aged 16–24 and the Square One Program for justice-impacted individuals, offering vocational services, career exploration, employment readiness, and job training at the Downtown Career Center.

Provides job training, credentialing, and placement into good-paying jobs, particularly in high-demand fields such as healthcare, construction, HVAC, CDL, and parks maintenance. Services are delivered through career pathway programs, customized training, and hands-on skill development for dislocated workers, youth, and other targeted populations.
