Collective Power Building

Organizes and leads advocacy campaigns, including legislative advocacy days, digital tools for public engagement, and coalition coordination to advance pay equity legislation, budget investments, and worker protections in New York, including the Benefits Transparency Act and reproductive and gender-affirming care access programs.

Supports and elevates existing statewide efforts such as the Time to Care campaign, the Women’s Equality Agenda, and Equal Pay Day events through sponsorship, public programming, and coordinated awareness campaigns.

Builds and facilitates collaboration among over 100 network partners and organizations to advance gender justice and economic equality for women in New York through regular meetings, shared strategies, and collective action.

Runs the LEAP Program (Leaders for Equity, Advocacy and Progress), offering monthly virtual and in-person educational sessions from January to June 2025 at no cost to participants, facilitating engagement among organizers, practitioners, and advocates to support learning, networking, and collective action.

Honors individuals and campaigns for their contributions to gender justice and pay equity through annual Equity Awards, including recognition of advocacy, policy leadership, and equal rights achievements.

Shares resources and sponsors educational opportunities such as conversations with leaders, webinars, and hybrid events to inform the public and promote awareness of gender and racial wage inequality in New York.

Produces and curates statements, videos, and social media content for key equity observances including Black Women’s Equal Pay Day and Latina Equal Pay Day to raise public awareness about wage inequality.

Organizes and grows a cross-state movement to ensure mothers have representation in family-related policy decisions, with activities spanning all fifty states.

Engages mothers in political advocacy and works to overcome structural barriers that impede their ability to run for and hold political office.

Provides public support and advocacy for individuals persecuted for online activism and free speech, including responding to the forced closure of media outlets like《立場新聞》(Stand News).

Provides logistical and material support during advocacy events, including meal distribution for participants and volunteers, such as serving 30 people after a rally on September 30, 2025.

Produces and distributes bilingual Chinese-English informational materials during public marches and demonstrations to raise awareness about imprisoned women, political prisoners, and human rights abuses in China.

Advances civil rights and advocacy work focused on protecting women and children in China, including ongoing monitoring and public support for human rights defenders.

Organizes and participates in public rallies, marches, and commemorative events in the U.S. and abroad to advocate for women's rights, freedom of expression, and the release of political prisoners in China. Events include the White Paper Movement anniversary demonstrations, Women's Day marches, and protests at Chinese diplomatic sites.

Conducts targeted advocacy to support individual human rights defenders, including public statements, solidarity campaigns, and awareness efforts for Li Yixue, Zhang Zhan, Wang Bingzhang, and Hong Kong activists Clarisse Yeung, Winnie Yu, and Nicole Qin Qiuyan.

Produces and displays banners with photos of missing children on vehicles to assist in locating them and raising public awareness.

Investigates and publishes reports on human rights abuses affecting women and children in China, including forced child removals and forced abortions. Published the books "The Orphans of Shao" and "Fetuses Executed by State Policy" to document and expose these practices.

Conducts and publishes research on global women's rights issues, including a comprehensive report on the Iranian women's resistance movement released in January 2026.
