To address and meet the needs of elderly, disabled, veteran and other under-resourced or disadvantaged populations who are experiencing or have experienced or are at-risk of experiencing temporary or permanent homelessness: To explore, develop and implement creative solutions to homelessness, such as planning, financing, accessing financial resources, developing, owning, building and/or rehabilitating, and assisting in the retention of, accessory housing units, mini-homes, existing housing, and conventional and alternative housing; and 2) To assist and enable such individuals to access existing governmental and non-governmental resources and programs that may address or assist such individuals with their long-term or short-term housing and other needs, such as Section 8 Housing, Home Energy Assistance Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance and private and governmental housing shelters.
