PRESCHOOL SERVICES INCLUDE BOTH SPECIAL CLASS AND INTEGRATED EDUCATION OPTIONS, DESIGNED TO SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE SETTINGS ALONGSIDE TYPICALLY DEVELOPING PEERS WHENEVER POSSIBLE. INTEGRATED CLASSROOMS FOSTER A SENSE OF BELONGING, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING, AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY BASED EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS, WHILE INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTS ADDRESS EACH CHILD'S UNIQUE LEARNING, COMMUNICATION, AND DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS. SCHOOL AGE SERVICES PROVIDE MANDATED SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMING FOR STUDENTS WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES, WITH A FOCUS ON INSTRUCTIONAL QUALITY, FUNCTIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT, AND PREPARATION FOR GREATER INDEPENDENCE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON BUILDING ACADEMIC, SOCIAL, AND LIFE SKILLS THAT SUPPORT MEANINGFUL PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY LIFE AND FACILITATE SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS OVER TIME. THROUGH ALL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAMS COLLABORATE TO DELIVER INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION AND RELATED SUPPORTS THAT PROMOTE MEASURABLE PROGRESS TOWARD EDUCATIONAL GOALS AND POSITIVE LIFE OUTCOMES. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES ARE FUNDED THROUGH NYSED-ESTABLISHED TUITION RATES REIMBURSED BY THE NYC DOE, AS WELL AS THROUGH UNIVERSAL PREKINDERGARTEN (UPK) AND 3-K FOR ALL CONTRACTS.
