How they approach the work
Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.
- Collaborative Child Protection Modelmethodology: collaborative_child_protectionBy engaging families, governments, and partners in shared responsibility for child protection, UNICEF prevents exploitation and abuse because sustainable child safety requires trusted, multi-stakeholder systems rather than top-down interventions.
- Community-Based Systems Strengtheningmethodology: community_trust_engagementBy integrating health, education, and social services within local systems—using community health workers, trusted leaders, and existing infrastructure—UNICEF achieves lasting impact because interventions are more sustainable and culturally grounded when embedded in community networks.
- Digital Innovation for Continuity of Servicesmethodology: digital_learning_continuityBy deploying digital learning platforms and health communication tools, UNICEF ensures continuity of education and health information during crises because technology enables rapid, scalable access where traditional systems fail.
- Integrated Advocacy and Service Deliverymethodology: integrated advocacy and service deliveryBy combining direct humanitarian service delivery with high-level advocacy for children's rights, UNICEF advances equity for children because systemic change is most effective when policy reform and on-the-ground support reinforce one another.
- Youth Empowerment Through Participationmethodology: youth empowerment through service provisionBy training and paying displaced youth to deliver services and amplifying their voices through digital platforms, UNICEF fosters agency and skills because meaningful participation produces resilience and leadership more effectively than aid alone.
