    DURING 2020, IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC HATZOLAH AIR ENTERED INTO AND MANAGED A JOINT VENTURE WITH LONG ISLAND JEWISH MEDICAL CENTER, WHEREBY HATZOLAH AIR OPENED, FUNDED AND MANAGED A 100+ BED ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SATELLITE MEDICAL FACILITY, COMPLETE WITH MEDICATIONS, STAFF (VOLUNTEER AND NON-VOLUNTEER) VENTILATORS, MONITORS AND OTHER ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS AND APPARATUS (THE "COVID RELIEF CENTER"). THE COVID RELIEF CENTER WAS COMPLETED WITH THE COOPERATION OF VARIOUS COMMUNITY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING, ACHIEZER, AND SHOR YOSHUV INSTITUTE AND WAS LOCATED AT THE SHOR YOSHUV INSTITUTE DURING THE SCHOOL SHUT DOWNS. THE COVID RELIEF CENTER WAS USED AS AN EXTERNAL TRIAGE AND TESTING CENTER FOR NORTHWELL AND REMAINED ON STANDBY AS A RELIEF CENTER FOR COVID AND NON-COVID PATIENTS. IN THE SUMMER OF 2020, AS LOCKDOWNS EASED AND COVID HOSPITALIZATIONS BEGAN TO DECLINE, THE COVID RELIEF CENTER WAS CLOSED. HATZOLAH AIR MAINTAINS SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT FOR FUTURE DISASTER PREPAREDNESS USE.
