How they approach the work
Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.
- Intergenerational Engagement Modelmethodology: intergenerational_engagementBy creating structured shared experiences between youth and seniors — such as mentorship, social events, and collaborative activities — we improve social connectedness and reduce isolation for older adults while supporting the personal and educational development of young people, because mutual interaction builds empathy, purpose, and intergenerational understanding.
- Senior Engagement Through Volunteerismmethodology: senior-engagement through volunteerismBy engaging older adults in volunteer roles that leverage their skills and experience, we meet community needs while enhancing seniors' sense of purpose and well-being, because meaningful contribution fosters dignity, social connection, and active aging.
- Volunteer Companion Model for Senior Independencemethodology: volunteer_companion_modelBy deploying trained volunteer companions to provide social support and respite care, we enable earlier hospital discharge and help seniors remain independent at home, because non-medical companionship reduces caregiver burden and prevents social isolation, which are key determinants of health and autonomy in older adults.
