ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR POUNDER HALL

Provides on-site occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy services to improve residents' independence, mobility, strength, balance, communication, cognitive function, and swallowing abilities. Services are integrated into ongoing care plans.

Hosts annual events including Pilgrimage Day in July, resident and family picnics, staff activities, Day Care Center graduations, antique car shows, Father's Day barbecues, and seasonal gatherings such as a New Year’s Eve party, lilac luncheon, and party barge trip to Old Forge at the Adirondack-Starer Pavilion.

Runs an intergenerational program that connects children from the on-campus Day Care Center with senior residents through shared activities such as reading, play, and structured developmental engagement, fostering connection across generations.

Runs a seven-day-per-week therapeutic recreation program that includes social hours, pet therapy, reminiscing sessions, bingo, music appreciation, holiday festivities, creative activities, group outings, and individualized engagement to enhance residents’ quality of life and social interaction.

Provides rentable guest rooms for tenants' visitors to support family stays and strengthen resident-family relationships.

Maintains shared amenities including a solarium, covered deck, library, floor lounges, fully equipped kitchen on each floor, on-site beauty shop, and laundry room to support resident comfort, independence, and daily living.

Provides group transportation for lunch and dinner outings, community events, shopping trips, fall foliage tours, small group rides, and medical appointments, supporting resident engagement and access to care.

Delivers daily administrative and membership support to members, chapters, districts, and prospective members of the Order of the Eastern Star through the Grand Chapter Office located on campus.

Serves three meals per day in a large dining room with restaurant-style dining and personalized menu selections. Offers daily nutritious meals and snacks, including therapeutic or prescribed diets developed by a licensed dietitian.

Offers early childhood care and education for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years, including structured developmental activities in art, science, pre-math, pre-reading, motor and language skills, and dramatic play. Provides daily nutritious meals and snacks and operates a summer day camp and latch key program with before- and after-school supervision, homework support, and recreational activities.

Operates Pounder Hall and a Nursing Home in Oriskany, NY, offering 24-hour nursing care and long-term residential services with preference for members of the Order of the Eastern Star and Master Masons. Care spans multiple years and includes end-of-life support, ensuring resident safety, well-being, and comfort through compassionate, continuous service.

Offers social services including advocacy, daily support, and discharge planning for residents and their families, ensuring continuity of care and assistance with transitions.

Keeps families informed of resident health changes, proactively involves them during critical moments, and provides comfort and support during visits—including refreshments and accommodations—to strengthen family connections throughout the care journey.
