THE PETER SHEEHAN DIABETES CARE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN CREATED WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING THE INCIDENCE OF TYPE 2 DIABETES, WHILE IMPROVING THE LIVES OF THOSE ALREADY AFFECTED WITH THIS DEVASTATING CHRONIC DISEASE. THE FOUNDATION WILL SUPPORT PROGRAMS TO DIAGNOSE PATIENTS, PROMOTE DATA ANALYTICS, AND INITIATE GENETIC RESEARCH OF TYPE 2 DIABETES COMPLICATIONS, THUS ENHANCING THE ROLE OF PREEMPTIVE MEDICINE IN STEMMING THE TIDE OF A COMPLEX AND DEADLY DISEASE THAT HAS BECOME EPIDEMIC.
