TRI EXPANDED THEIR SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY PROGRAM TO INCLUDE THE PARENT EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (PEP). THE PEP PROVIDES PARENTS/CAREGIVERS WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND TRAININGS TO EMPOWER THEM TO MORE EFFECTIVELY ADVOCATE FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES FOR THEIR CHILDREN WITHIN THEIR RESPECTIVE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS. DURING THE 2023-2024 FISCAL YEAR, 419 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED INDEPENDENT LIVING ASSISTANCE, 147 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED BENEFITS ADVISEMENT, AND 410 INDIVIDUALS WERE ASSISTED WITH SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY.
