Operates and maintains the Pine Bush Nature Preserve, open year-round for hiking and cross-country skiing, and serves as a habitat for the Karner Blue butterfly; also maintains a system of parks offering year-round outdoor recreational opportunities.

Provides a structured membership program that connects local businesses and organizations in Guilderland and surrounding areas, offering networking, promotion, and resource-sharing opportunities.

Runs Summer Day Camp and Summer Sports Camps for children ages 5–12, offering sports, crafts, and recreational activities, with free bus transportation provided.

Communicates and advocates for members' business interests to local, state, and federal governments, informs members about legislative issues, and advocates for policies that improve the local business climate. Hosts forums and events such as the annual Legislative Breakfast to facilitate dialogue between public officials and small business owners.

Collaborates with local businesses and public entities to strengthen and unify the local economy. Facilitates business-to-business connections and commerce opportunities for chamber members in the Herkimer County region and provides updates and information to the business community.
