Houses PS23Q, an on-site public school for inpatients, and the Queens Borough President Helen Marshall Early Education Center for community children with medical complexities, located in the education and family pavilion opened in 2013.

Offers year-round 24/7 medical coverage through Board Certified pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, and operates a 127-bed facility on a nine-acre campus in Queens, including recent expansions for ventilator-equipped beds.

Delivers family-centered pediatric post-acute and long-term care through an inpatient hospital facility, home care services, and community programs in Bayside, Queens, serving children and young adults recovering from critical health conditions. Operates as the largest provider of long-term care for children with complex medical conditions in New York State.

Offers day healthcare, home care, and community-based programs including an intensive day patient program specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, launched in 2001 as the first of its kind in New York.

Offers therapeutic play and child life programs supported by grants, including a $2,500 award from The Toy Foundation to enhance emotional and developmental support for pediatric patients.

Delivered medical and mental health care to 19 children and family members released from captivity in November 2023, and developed a new clinical treatment protocol specifically for child hostages.

Relocated pediatric patients to fortified underground facilities and sustained full hospital operations for 40 days during missile attacks in April 2026, including conversion of neonatal units into emergency and surgical care spaces to ensure uninterrupted treatment during attacks in October 2023.

Provides education and training programs by partnering with international doctors to teach new medical procedures, protocols, and techniques to residents from every continent, conducted both at the hospital and on location.

Advocates for the development and implementation of NICUs based on family-centered care principles to improve patient and family outcomes.

Delivers meals, dinner, and transportation subsidies to parents in the NICU, enabling them to remain close to their infants during treatment; includes regular outreach and ongoing logistical support for families.

Provides grants for the acquisition of medical devices and funds or donates property to neonatal intensive care units in local hospitals, enhancing facility resources and care capacity.
