Equity-Centered Innovation

By centering equity in the design, development, and dissemination of health technologies and interventions, we produce more effective and accessible solutions for underserved populations, because inclusive processes correct for systemic biases and ensure that innovations meet the needs of those most impacted by health disparities. This strategy unifies a shared belief across organizations that equitable outcomes require intentional design choices — whether in technology, research, care delivery, or leadership — that prioritize marginalized communities from the outset. It distinguishes itself from purely technical or supply-side approaches by embedding cultural responsiveness, community partnership, and structural equity analysis into every stage of innovation, ensuring that solutions do not replicate existing disparities.
