Collects data and information on the environmental impacts of factory farms, with a focus on effects to freshwater resources.

Conducts undercover investigations into animal facilities, including industrial slaughter systems, to expose animal welfare conditions and raise public awareness about the impacts of factory farms and other animal-use facilities.

Submits formal public comments to federal agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on strategic plans and climate-related initiatives, including the EPA’s FY 2022–2026 draft strategic plan and USDA actions related to the climate crisis.

Conducts advocacy efforts to promote a shift away from factory farming toward sustainable and ethical protein sources.

Provides free clothing for all ages and seasons, books (especially educational titles), toys, school supplies, bicycles, appliances, and home goods at Food Share locations. In 2025, distributed over 118,743 items of clothing, 38,542 books, 14,660 toys, and $692,365 worth of hygiene products.

Maintains and operates a publicly accessible online directory that lists food pantries, soup kitchens, food shares, and community fridges across Long Island and New York City to improve access to local food assistance programs.

Distributes free vegetarian groceries, fresh organic produce, and 100% vegan prepared meals through weekly outdoor "Food Share" events held year-round across Long Island and New York City. These supermarket-style distributions provide most or all of a family's weekly food needs without requiring identification, paperwork, or eligibility screening.

Collects donated surplus food from restaurants, farms, stores, and other establishments via scheduled or on-demand pickups and redistributes millions of pounds annually to address food insecurity. In 2025, rescued over 11.3 million pounds of vegetarian groceries, contributing to more than 101.5 million grams of protein distributed.

Distributes gardening supplies, fruit tree seedlings (via the "Peach Tree Project"), vegetable starts, flowers, and plants to promote local food-growing capacity. In the prior year, distributed 46,504.5 pounds of fruit trees and vegetable starts with an estimated annual yield of over 255,000 pounds of produce. Also composts organic waste for use in community gardens.

Organizes and maintains an archive of Peace on Earth Day events and activities to document and promote ongoing nonviolence initiatives.

Leads an educational program that commissions artists to create urban print art discouraging violence and encouraging peacemaking.

Conducts a grantmaking program to strengthen nonprofit organizations working in peacemaking, including efforts to end violence against humanity, animals, and the environment.

Implements the Nurturing Inclusive Community Program (NICE) in Rockland County school districts to reduce school violence and support academic success, serving over 5,000 students.

Organizes Peace on Earth Day on the 25th of each month, promoting nonviolence toward the environment through observance practices such as abstention from animal cruelty, interfaith celebration, and peaceful family gatherings.

Creates and produces the Earth Requiem project, a multidisciplinary initiative featuring public installations, outdoor concerts, and immersive performances that address climate change, pollution, resource depletion, and nuclear proliferation while promoting environmental restoration and interfaith unity.

Shares plant-based recipes through its website as part of programming to promote nonviolence toward animals and support sustainable living.

Recognizes individuals and organizations making significant contributions to ending violence toward other species and the environment.

Leads advocacy campaigns to secure institutional commitments to increased plant-based meal offerings, such as achieving a pledge from UCLA dining services for 50% plant-based meals by 2027 and daily plant-based options in the Fremont Union High School District.
