Provides scholarship funding to eight junior showmanship finalists annually, with award amounts ranging from $500 to $10,000 based on placement.

Provides $5,000 to the AKC training club of the Masters Agility Champion's choice or to the AKC Humane Fund, and awards $1,000 each to the Highest Scoring All-American Dog and four first-place dogs in their height classes.

Organizes and hosts annual AKC Hunting Tests for Pointing Breeds, including a two-day event format introduced in 2014, and awards the Westminster Kennel Club Cup and a sterling silver trophy to winners of the Gun Dog and Walking Gun Dog Championships.

Includes flyball events in its dog competition programming to highlight canine athleticism, training, and enthusiasm as part of the broader Westminster events.

Organizes and hosts the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, including Best of Breed, Group-level competitions (Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting, Herding), and the final Best in Show competition, featuring nearly 3,000 dogs annually from the U.S. and abroad. The event is the second-longest continuously held sporting event in the U.S. and the longest nationally televised live dog show since 1948.

Runs Westminster Cares, an initiative focused on education, dog rescue, health programs, and community support for dogs and dog owners.

Hosts Westminster Week, a multi-event canine competition series that includes the Masters Agility Championship and Masters Obedience Championship, with awards for top performers across multiple classes and divisions. The Masters Agility competition includes over 350 entered dogs, and winners are recognized in each of five height divisions.

Secured American Kennel Club recognition and registration for the Australian Cattle Dog breed, including eligibility for showing in the Working Group and later transfer to the Herding Group. Promotes the health and welfare of the breed through support of ACDHEW, Inc.

Conducts and licenses conformation shows, herding tests and trials, and performance and companion events for Australian Cattle Dogs in compliance with American Kennel Club (AKC) regulations. Includes organizing at least two AKC herding tests and trials involving cattle at the national specialty event.

Maintains and updates an online database of Australian Cattle Dog pedigrees on a quarterly basis, allowing users to search, view, and submit pedigree and health information through an online Add/Modify form. Provides access to health results and pedigree data as part of a public-facing, searchable resource.

Offers a members-only section on its website accessible via application, requiring personal details and endorsements from two current members. Charges annual membership dues of up to $100, set by the Board and approved by members, with an online application process available.

Adopts and promotes the American Kennel Club breed standard for the Australian Cattle Dog and published an illustrated version of the breed standard. Maintains a listing of breeders who agree to abide by the ACDCA Breeder's Code of Ethics to ensure responsible breeding practices.

Rescues purebred Australian Cattle Dogs in the United States and Canada from shelters and owners unable to keep them, and places them into permanent adoptive homes. Provides emergency funding to rescues and establishes guidelines for responsible adoption practices.

Supports original research, collects and organizes historical information, and disseminates knowledge about the Australian Cattle Dog breed to promote understanding and preservation of breed characteristics and health.

Manages a structured membership process that requires applicants to submit a completed application and sign a Code of Ethics, promoting responsible ownership and breeding practices among members.

Plans and executes American Kennel Club-sanctioned specialty breed shows, field events, hunt tests, obedience trials, and rally trials specifically for German Shorthaired Pointers. Events are held at various locations, including East Mountain Shooting Preserve in Dover Plains, NY, and Golden Rule School for Dogs in Andover, NJ, with scheduled events extending to June 2025.

Advances proper sportsmanship and field skills related to hunting with German Shorthaired Pointers, supporting breed-specific performance and training standards.

Sponsors purebred dog shows and conducts public education initiatives focused on purebred dog standards.
