Academic-Athletic Integration

Provides registered flag football players and cheer participants with access to educational enrichment, including summer camp, Jets Success workshops, free high school tutoring, and academic requirements with tutoring support, helping students gain admission to prestigious high schools and universities.

Fields 12 flag football teams across six age divisions, including co-ed and all-girls teams, in an annual program running from April through October, with regional competition participation. The organization is expanding by building 12 new teams (6 all-girl and 6 co-ed) for a new NYC league.

Operates sideline and developing competitive cheer teams for children ages 5–14, conducting practices from March through October and performing at events across the Tri-State area, with a history of regional and national award wins.

Operated a lacrosse program for approximately 70 youth, focusing on teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic enrichment.

Operates an annual tackle football program for up to 200 children organized into six to eight age-based teams, including spring training, summer camp, league games from September to October, regional tournaments in November, and potential national championships in December.

Operates a fleet of buses to provide transportation for youth athletes to local and regional games, tournaments, and an annual summer camp at Camp Green Lane in Pennsylvania.

Operates a three-season wrestling program for 30–50 youth annually, with weekly practices and participation in local, regional, and national tournaments, including the Beat the Streets Wrestling League and events across New York and New Jersey. The team won “best team” honors in December 2025, and one wrestler earned “best wrestler” honors.

Offers inclusive sports programs to youth in Harlem, serving over 300 children annually with more than 200 program hours per child, supporting high school completion and providing opportunities in sports and leadership.

Enables middle school students to earn up to three high school credits and take two New York State Regents Exams as part of an accelerated academic program.

Enforces a mandatory dress code requiring black or khaki slacks and grade-specific colored oxford or polo shirts; prohibits cargo pants, jeans, and boots.

Operates a range of extracurricular programs such as an e-Sports team, marching band, drumline, recording studio, barbershop program, honors society, graphic design, and anime club. Established an E-Sports STEM Lab with software support and gaming infrastructure.

Hosts varsity and junior varsity athletic competitions in football (fall), basketball (winter), track (spring), and baseball (spring). The school charges a $3 admission fee per person for games and has installed new bleachers and upgraded facilities to support these programs.

Offers an international service learning trip to countries such as the Dominican Republic and Cuba every two years, fulfilling a service learning requirement for students.

Organizes student volunteer efforts at the VA medical center, Albany Mission, Hudson Humane Society, and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York to support community needs.

Participated in the NSBE Conference Try-Math-A-Lon with twelve students across three teams, earning 1st and 3rd place prizes.

Employed RTI (Response to Intervention) teachers and post-pandemic counselors from 2021 to 2024 to support academic recovery and student mental health. Conducted school-wide assessments to identify learning loss and acquired additional Chromebooks to expand access to technology.

Offers a complete high school curriculum designed to ensure students earn a Regents diploma, with instruction in computer technology and environmental sustainability. The school provides free tuition and maintains a student-teacher ratio of approximately 10:1 across grades 9–12.

Provides academic and career advising that supports students in enrolling in specialized post-secondary programs such as culinary school and has enabled at least one student to earn a Division I college athletic scholarship.
