Holds Roundtable Presentations for middle school students as a milestone academic assessment and hosts 8th-grade graduation and 12th-grade commencement ceremonies, including at St. Francis College for the Class of 2026. Also organizes end-of-year awards ceremonies and student-curated events such as the "Roots of the City" dance showcase.

Conducts quarterly committee work to review data dashboards, update policies, and guide school-wide priorities. Holds scheduled meetings of the Board of Trustees to ensure strategic oversight and continuous improvement.

Provides a rigorous liberal arts and sciences education in mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies, including Regents courses in middle school and 10 Advanced Placement courses in high school, to prepare students for postsecondary success. The curriculum emphasizes development of narrative, informational, and expository writing skills, reading comprehension of complex texts, and STEM competencies such as data analysis and experimental design.

Prepares for family conferences at the end of each trimester and organizes community-building events such as Staff vs. Seniors volleyball and basketball matches. Offers facility rentals for classes, sports, performances, meetings, conferences, and celebrations to support community use of school spaces.

Runs the Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES!) program and Daily Advisory sessions to promote emotional health, mindfulness, character development, and study habits. The School-wide Mentoring Corps pairs students with community members and older peers for guidance. Students are formally recognized for demonstrating core values (Progress, Respect for All, Integrity, Discovery, Empathy).

Offers enrichment courses in World Languages & Culture and Design & Technology, along with 16 elective clubs and over 20 athletic teams. Programs aim to develop 21st-century skills, creativity, and teamwork through visual and performing arts, sports, and technology-focused activities.

Operates a middle school campus in Bedford-Stuyvesant and a high school campus in Williamsburg, providing uninterrupted education from 6th through 12th grade. The school delivers a college-preparatory curriculum and maintains structured academic and extracurricular programming across both campuses.

Provides information and access to free summer meals for students under 18 through NYC’s Summer Meals program and distributes vouchers for free admission to NYC museums for middle school students through June 30th to support ongoing learning and cultural engagement.

Offers personalized academic, mental health, and college and career counseling with a 7:1 student-to-staff ratio. Support is delivered through daily Skills-Building courses, trained Teaching Assistants, after-school Homework Help, Saturday Academy, and individualized interventions to address remediation and acceleration needs.

Holds annual athletics awards ceremonies to recognize student-athletes for performance, sportsmanship, and dedication. Recognizes staff members for long-term service (five and ten years) and celebrates student accomplishments across grades 6–12 through formal recognition programs.

Requires 12th-grade students to complete a Community Service Project and offers internships to provide real-world professional experience. Achieved a 100% college admission rate for the Class of 2024 and an 84% college enrollment rate for the Class of 2025, the highest among Brooklyn charter high schools. Publishes college acceptance lists and supports seniors through the admissions process.

Provides an extended school day, week, and year, offering approximately 30% more instructional and co-curricular time compared to the local district average to enhance student learning and engagement.
