How they approach the work

Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.

  • Fine-Free Access to Reduce Barriers
    methodology: fine-free_libraries
By eliminating fines, the library reduces systemic barriers to access, particularly for underserved populations, because financial penalties disproportionately impact low-income communities and deter library use.
  • Personalized and Inclusive Service Delivery
    methodology: accessibility-inclusion
By providing staff-supported accessibility guidance and assistive technologies, the library ensures meaningful inclusion for people with disabilities because tailored support and adaptive tools enable full participation that generic access cannot.
  • Universal Physical and Digital Access
    methodology: universal_access
By maintaining a distributed network of 37 locations and a mobile bookmobile alongside digital platforms like Libby, the library increases equitable access because geographic proximity and technology integration jointly remove structural barriers to participation.
