Conducts educational summer sessions to teach children about climate change and its impacts, using accessible methods and everyday materials to convey core environmental concepts.

Engages volunteers to drive environmental impact in underserved communities through education, outreach, and hands-on conservation activities.

Conducts analysis and raises awareness about the connections between climate change and social issues including health, poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness.

Provides community members with practical strategies to cope with and survive in a climate-destructive world, including public service announcements and community sessions focused on climate issues.

Operates the "Don't Strain Your Drain" initiative to educate residents and small restaurant owners in Mount Vernon, Port Chester, and New Rochelle about proper cooking oil disposal, establishes recycling drop-off locations, and spreads awareness through community events driven by local students.

Conducts a student-led survey to assess public awareness and use of the Westchester County Household Material Recovery Facility and identify ways to improve recycling access and education.

Offers free STEM-focused campus tours at universities such as MIT and Harvard for high school students and their families to promote access to higher education in science and engineering fields.

Provides an expert-led SAT preparation program for high school students in Grades 9–11, with an 8-week pilot program increasing average SAT scores from 900 to over 1,400 points.

Provides information and support to local governments and economically vulnerable communities to adopt clean energy, address environmental hazards such as contaminated waterways and poor air quality, and launch green economy initiatives and incubator programs.

Advocates for the allocation of resources to communities experiencing environmental injustice, emphasizing equitable access to clean energy, safe water, and healthy environments.

Offers after-school and Saturday sessions focused on the relationship between technology and the environment, including an ongoing Advanced Computer Science Program starting every September with classes held on Saturday mornings and taught by industry professionals.

Advocates for the integration of climate change and its impacts into educational curricula from kindergarten through professional schools, promoting systemic change in academic programming.

Provided expertise to cities across the U.S., including post-Hurricane Katrina recovery in New Orleans; helped develop Stuyvesant High School and the Solaire building; developed 1400 on 5th in Harlem; worked with Tata Group on urban expansion in Jamshedpur, India; and conducted projects in India, South Africa, Cape Verde, Senegal, and Rwanda.

Operates a six-week STEM leadership academy for high school students from disadvantaged communities, delivering a custom-designed environmental science curriculum through hands-on experiments and demonstrations three times per week at partner sites. The program includes scientific research practices such as observation, data recording, and team-based final projects presented on graduation day.

Operates a student ambassador program spanning the full academic year, including the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters, to engage youth in environmental leadership and outreach.

Enrolls dozens of underserved high school students each summer in the Student Summer Energy and Environment Program for Teens (SSEPT), a program first launched on April 23, 2021.

Engages students in efforts to clean and protect the Westchester watershed, supporting aquatic life and human drinking water quality, and partners with community organizations such as Mount Calvary CME Church in Mount Vernon, NY for conservation activities.

Provides opportunities for young people to enter climate-related fields across multiple disciplines including science, engineering, law, and social justice, preparing them for careers in the green economy.

Initiated programs including LEED for Homes, Green Schools, and LEED for Neighborhood Development to promote sustainable urban planning and construction practices.

Created alternative school programs for students at risk of dropping out due to delinquency or substance use, including directing the Alternate Learning Space, an experimental alternative school for at-risk teens in the South Bronx.

Provided consultant and freelance program development services to youth-serving organizations including Children’s Aid Society, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Rheedlen Foundation, and Daytop Village, and trained senior staff at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation on greening affordable housing.

Collaborated with Enterprise Community Partners to help develop Green Communities standards, championed the Green Schools program, and developed sustainability curricula for HBCUs and institutions serving indigenous and Latinx populations while serving on the USGBC board.
