Organizes the Eastern NY Youth Soccer State Cup, a competitive single-elimination tournament for premier and top-tier youth teams in each age group, with champions advancing to regional and potentially national championships as part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship pathway.

Organizes a Summer International Tour that includes training with prestigious clubs, competing against international teams, and cultural immersion in global soccer environments.

Provides coaching development programs for individuals at all levels, from beginner to advanced, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Federation, using experiential learning and a player-centered approach aligned with small-sided games and age-specific player development initiatives. Requires coaches to obtain a Grassroots Coaching License and offers clinics annually to support coach development.

Distributed free and affordable tickets to FIFA World Cup matches for over 2,000 residents of New York and New Jersey to increase access to major international soccer events.

Partnered to develop over a dozen mini pitch projects and has supported the development of 17 mini pitches across New York and New Jersey, either completed or in progress, to provide safe and accessible soccer spaces in underserved communities.

Hosts an annual Sub-Regional Tournament each spring at Afrims Sports Facility and supports leagues where approximately 2,000 futsal games are played annually. Also engages over 5,000 young people through soccer clinics, Pitch Days, tournaments, and community events in New York and New Jersey.

Runs 10 youth soccer leagues across Eastern New York, serving nearly 100,000 players and engaging over 25,000 volunteers. Programs span from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border, east of Route 81, and include intramural, travel, premier, and recreational soccer for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities.

Identifies and develops elite youth soccer players through the Olympic Development Program, selecting participants for Regional, Interregional, and National team rosters, organizing participation in national tournaments such as the Las Vegas Cup and Dallas Cup, and offering scholarships to support access regardless of financial constraints.

Operates an online registration system via GotSport for trainers to apply for a Trainers Pass, charges a $250 fee plus $8 for risk management, verifies coaching license validity through USSF and United Soccer Coaches, and issues passes contingent upon meeting minimum coaching license and risk management requirements.

Supports the development of referees to officiate Member League matches and State Cup competitions through annual clinics and training opportunities.

Requires mandatory background checks, SafeSport online training, and CDC’s Heads Up Concussion Training for coaches and trainers. Accepts reports of abuse and misconduct and mandates completion of three risk management trainings: Background Check, Heads Up Concussion Awareness, and SafeSport.

Organizes college seminars with local college coaches to guide players interested in collegiate soccer and awards annual college scholarships to high school graduates who are registered players, including four scholarships for female applicants and two for male applicants.

Initiated the LIJSL Sportsmanship Program in 1980 to promote discipline and respect among players, which later expanded nationally and internationally, contributing to broader cultural development within youth soccer.
