Conducts live fire training at approximately 900 degrees, operates a confined space simulator with pre-cast concrete rings and corrugated pipe, and maintains a vehicle extrication pad with a 24-inch concrete sono-tube and backhoe for realistic crash scenario training.
- Fire suppression and emergency responseProvides fire prevention and suppression services, emergency rescue, and protection of life and property for East Patchogue, portions of Patchogue, and portions of Bellport in the Town of Brookhaven, NY, responding to approximately 400 alarms annually. Operates multiple fire apparatus including engines, rescue trucks, aerial ladders, and a brush fire vehicle for structure fires, vehicle fires, and mutual aid responses.
- Vehicle extrication training and competitionParticipates in vehicle extrication tournaments at local, national, and international levels annually since 1994, using a dedicated extrication pad and simulated crash scenarios. Training includes use of specialized tools and techniques for real-world application.
- Volunteer firefighter training and supportProvides Nationally Recognized Fire Fighter I training based on NFPA Standard 1001 to new volunteer applicants through the Suffolk County Fire Academy. Requires candidates to attend weekly probationary training sessions every Thursday night during their first year and supports active volunteer firefighters with free training, gear, uniforms, pagers, firehouse access, life insurance, and a pension plan.

- Water rescue and firefightingConducts water rescue and firefighting operations using a custom 2016 Lake Assault Fire Boat, 28 feet long with an enclosed pilot house, capable of delivering 1,500 gallons per minute at 150 psi. The boat is deployed for both firefighting and rescue support on water.
