NORTHERN ACADEMY OF THE ARTS

Conducts guided campus tours led by admissions staff or student ambassadors, hosts information sessions on curriculum and admissions, and facilitates meet-and-greet opportunities between prospective families and current students and faculty.

Manages enrollment processes for domestic and international students, including I-20 application processing, visa support, health documentation review, and mandatory orientation programs for new international arrivals.

Provides a comprehensive graduation experience for seniors, including cap and gown rental, professional photoshoots, yearbook, ballroom dance instruction, tree planting ceremony, and post-graduation performance events to celebrate student achievement and legacy.

Provides a rigorous college preparatory and classical education grounded in Eastern and Western traditions, including instruction in literature, history, science, arithmetic, and the Trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric), for students in grades 1 through 12. The curriculum emphasizes moral character development, cultural literacy, and academic excellence.

Provides comprehensive academic advising and college counseling starting in middle school, including annual college planning classes, individual sessions, and long-term goal planning to support student success in higher education.

Organizes student participation in community service initiatives such as food distribution and city cleanups, and provides weekend outings and class trips to cultural, historical, and recreational sites across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

Undertakes construction and renovation projects to repurpose historic 19th-century medical grounds into an educational campus, including completed renovations of the B-Building hallway, entrance, and entryway.

Provides interscholastic and recreational sports programs in Badminton, Basketball, Soccer, Table Tennis, and Ultimate Frisbee, competing in Class A/Division I of the School Athletic Conference and as a member of the Hudson Valley Athletic League and NYSPHSAA 'Friend and Neighbor' program.

Runs a nationally recognized pre-professional arts conservatory, Hudson Valley Youth Orchestra, and top-tier academic programs in STEM and business entrepreneurship, with students achieving high rankings in state and national competitions such as Science Olympiad and Future Business Leaders of America.

Offers a wide range of co-curricular afternoon programs including drama, music, creative writing, dance, Science Olympiad, Odyssey of the Mind, and etiquette, alongside student clubs and leadership development activities that foster initiative, community, and personal growth.

Offers need-based and merit-based financial aid, including sliding scale tuition and renewable yearly awards, to ensure access to education for students from diverse economic backgrounds, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or disability.
