Organizes the Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships, the oldest ice dance event in the world and part of US Figure Skating's National Qualifying Series, as well as the Lake Placid Ice Dance International, an international event on the ISU calendar, offering couples and solo dance events from pre-juvenile through senior levels.

Hosts annual conventions including the CSEA Occupational Safety and Health, Rural Schools Association of New York State, SUNY Technology, and New York Conference of Mayors at a LEED Gold Certified conference center that offers up to 90,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, two 20,000 square foot column-free exhibit areas, access to over 1,800 nearby hotel rooms, and 5MB bandwidth capacity for over 800 devices.

Hosts the annual Empire State Winter Games, an Olympic-style winter sports event that includes a 700-mile torch relay and multi-day competitions in the Adirondacks, with the 47th edition scheduled for February 4–7, 2027.
