Perpetual Endowment Model

Provides financial support to independent musicians and music workers through a grant program, including $200 monthly no-strings-attached payments for 12 months and annual grant awards. The program has supported artists since at least 2022 and is ongoing.

Provides music education to children ages 0–17 through singing, instrument playing, dance, and interactive classes. Programs are delivered in schools, daycares, youth centers, and camps, including adapted curricula for adults. The organization partners with over 25 schools in the Rochester, NY area.

Builds a network of local musicians, artists, and creatives to support collaboration and professional development, including connecting artists with videographers, sound engineers, and other music professionals.

Provides video, podcasting, photography, and recording services to independent artists through in-house production capabilities, including ongoing work at Bop Shop Records and the production company Stereo Field Recordings launched in 2024.

Organizes and produces live music events, benefit concerts, and annual festivals—including Brinner Fest and Be Kind Fest—to increase community access to local music and strengthen community ties. Events are held in collaboration with local businesses and nonprofits.

Operates an annual scholarship application system and awards multiple named scholarships, including the Gregory D. Spring Perseverance Scholarship, Jonathan Teuscher Scholarship, Sondra J. Fox Scholarship, and others, with recipients notified by May 30 and awards distributed through school ceremonies. Awards over $300,000 annually in scholarships to students in the Cattaraugus region.

Supports capital campaigns and maintenance projects for local organizations, including funding for the Olean Food Pantry expansion, SPCA in Cattaraugus County shelter renovations and kennel repairs, and ongoing support for the 5.6-mile Allegheny River Valley Trail through a dedicated fund.

Provides grants to tax-exempt organizations, governmental units, schools, and universities in Cattaraugus and Allegany counties, supporting education, scholarships, health care, the arts, community development, human services, and youth development. Also considers grants to religious institutions when programs serve broad community needs, such as food assistance.

Manages approximately 300 funds and scholarships with over $30 million in assets, including donor-designated funds such as the Mildred Milliman Fund that benefits 35 charities annually. Allocates 80% of annual contributions to grantmaking and 20% to the SheElevates Fund's endowment for long-term sustainability.

Raises funds from alumni and donors, including securing over $70,000 during Cornell Giving Day events, with $77,500 raised in 2024, to support operations and legacy projects.

Established and maintains the Robert Trent Jones Scholarship endowment to support members’ educational goals through dedicated funding.

Organizes annual general membership meetings and formal elections for leadership positions, including Board of Directors, President, and Treasurer roles, during events such as Cornell Reunion Weekend.

Conducts ongoing maintenance and renovation projects at the Deke House, including restoration of porches and staircases, repairs to wood and stone surfaces, drainage system upgrades, and electrical system overhauls to improve safety, capacity, and energy efficiency.

Hosts reunion weekends and other gatherings that bring together over 50 members to strengthen alumni connections and organizational continuity.

Recruits and initiates new undergraduate members into the brotherhood, adding 17 new members in 2024–25 and 32 in 2025–26, including conducting formal initiations following periods of suspension.

Supports charitable organizations by distributing investment income as grants. This activity represents the organization's primary method of financial support to other nonprofits.

Administers thousands of private gifts and grants annually, including donor reporting, gift receipts, privacy protection, and ensuring donor intent. Provides stewardship services that support endowed chairs, scholarships, faculty research, and departmental activities.

Administers scholarship funds including the Hutchinson Central Technical High School Access Scholarship ($2,500 awards) and the Durand Scholarship, supporting student access, on-campus living, study abroad, and educational costs.
