Advocates for balanced management of Forest Hills Stadium that supports neighborhood vibrancy and economic benefits, including community celebration of the stadium’s 100th anniversary.

Advocates for reasonable limits on concerts at Forest Hills Stadium to address community concerns about noise, traffic, trash, and parking, while seeking to preserve neighborhood quality of life and residential tranquility.

Organizes residents through petitions, public meetings, and outreach efforts, including circulating a petition signed by over 700 residents and facilitating 63 public speakers at a Community Board 6 meeting to voice concerns about Forest Hills Stadium operations.

Monitors and documents noise levels and violations during concerts at Forest Hills Stadium, including submitting resident complaints to the city’s 311 system and recording evidence such as photos and videos of disturbances; reported nine noise violations in 2025 and specifically documented violations during the All Things Go music festival.

Files federal lawsuits challenging city actions related to Forest Hills Stadium concerts, including an alleged unconstitutional takeover of private streets and the NYPD’s use of private streets during events, as well as contesting permit approvals through formal letters and legal claims.

Operates an Adopt-a-Drain program that encourages neighbors to maintain storm drains by removing debris and reporting issues, in collaboration with the Highway Department, resulting in visible improvements in areas with water accumulation.

Operates an Adopt-a-ROW program launched in March 2017, engaging property owners in maintaining designated rights of way by picking up trash, mowing, trimming vegetation, and preventing erosion.

Maintains Causeway Beach through periodic sand replenishment (approximately 300 tons), manages road conditions and repairs, enforces visible house number signage for emergency access, and oversees all common grounds within Nassau Point.

Conducts an annual regulated deer cull each Fall/Winter season in coordination with licensed professionals and local amateur bow hunters, following ecological and ethical practices, to manage overpopulation. Reports results to members and raises volunteer contributions to fund the program.

Researches and publishes historical stories and anecdotes about Nassau Point to preserve and share community heritage.

Manages a kayak and paddleboard registration system for overnight storage at community access points to prevent overcrowding and non-resident use, and organizes monthly summer group kayak trips from Fisherman’s or Causeway Beach with automated email notifications to registered members.

Advocates for community interests including successful implementation of a 25 MPH speed limit, serves as liaison with local police and fire departments, and engages with authorities on wetlands, shore preservation, groundwater, and water quality issues.

Hosts seasonal and off-season social events including an annual cocktail party, family day picnic, trivia nights, library tours, chocolate symposium, and other member gatherings to foster community engagement, with $11,700 spent on event-related expenses during the year.

Issues parking passes, beach tags, kayak registration stickers, and annual invitations to events; produces and distributes two newsletters annually and an annual Membership Directory & Yearbook with advertising; provides password-protected access to website features and the member directory for current paid members, including self-service account management.

Operates a Welcoming Committee to recruit and integrate new members, an Events Committee to plan community events, and a Website Committee to manage content and communication systems, supporting ongoing community organization and participation.

Redevelops and restores historic properties in the neighborhood around the Nash House, including the Michigan Street Baptist Church, the former Little Harlem Supper Club, the Colored Musicians Club, and associated historic dwellings.

Preserves historic structures as part of broader community revitalization efforts in Elmira, New York, contributing to cultural and neighborhood sustainability.
