Barrier-Free Youth Development

Participates in rules-writing committees of the NFHS and NCAA to collaborate on lacrosse rule development and promote player safety.

Holds monthly meetings to address the needs of lacrosse communities across Long Island and New York City.

Founded the USA Lacrosse Long Island Metro Select teams to promote elite player development and competition.

Sponsors and helps maintain a 9-11 memorial at Farmingdale State College and dedicated "Reg’s Rock" to honor five military lacrosse players from the Long Island Metro area who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Administers an annual scholarship program awarding two high school scholarships (one male, one female) in each of the Suffolk, Nassau, and Metro New York areas. Also presents the UNSUNG Hero Award annually to one male and one female student-athlete at every high school in these regions, and awards the Founders Cup to outstanding high school teams.

Conducts annual Level 1 Coaching Education Program (CEP) clinics and hosts annual coaching clinics for high school lacrosse coaches. Also operates a youth lacrosse clinic on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton.

Organizes the annual Long Island Youth Jamboree, the LI Metro National Schoolgirls Tournament tryouts, the Long Island Lacrosse Shoot-Out in Greenport, and co-sponsors P.A.L. Lacrosse Day. Also hosted a 24-hour lacrosse event from July 11 to July 12, 2024.

Produces Lacrosse Magazine, the most widely-read lacrosse publication in the world, and developed the first Long Island Lacrosse Newsletter (L.I. Lax).

Promotes and supports the growth of lacrosse through community engagement and program development. This includes fostering participation in the sport at various levels and expanding access to lacrosse opportunities.

Sponsors the Top 50 Empire State Team to recognize elite lacrosse players in New York.

Created and has operated the Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame since 1985, hosting an annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner to honor coaches, officials, and players. Organizes the Hall of Fame Game at Hofstra and Stony Brook universities for inductees.

Sponsored the 1992 Under-19 Men's World Lacrosse Games held at Hofstra University.

Provides monetary and equipment donations to underprivileged youth lacrosse programs through the B.R.I.D.G.E. program, supporting communities in Roosevelt, Bronx St. Raymond’s, Half Hollow East PAL, Hempstead, Brooklyn, and other areas across Nassau, Suffolk, and Metro New York. Also supports the development of new lacrosse programs on the East End, including Mattituck, Greenport, and Southold.

Provides accessible youth lacrosse programs for children in Lewis County, NY, including an introductory program for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students meeting 1–2 days per week, and a competitive program for grades 1–6 with teams practicing 2–3 days per week for approximately 1.5 hours per session.

Coordinates competitive game schedules for youth lacrosse teams through the 1812 Cannons program, including two 25-minute games typically held on Wednesday evenings between 5:30–8:00 PM from early May through late June. Also organizes annual attendance at the Syracuse vs. Colgate lacrosse game at the JMA Wireless Dome for registered players and families.

Enforces a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and vaping at all club-sponsored events and practices. Maintains a code of conduct for participants and spectators to promote respect and sportsmanship. Removes players from play immediately when a concussion is suspected.

Distributes free tickets to Syracuse University lacrosse games and meals to registered Lowville Youth Lacrosse athletes as a participant benefit.

Offers rental equipment including helmets, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, and lacrosse sticks to youth participants, with defined replacement costs for lost or damaged items. Accepts donations of gently used youth lacrosse equipment for program use.
