Organizes the annual Saratoga Foliage Ride, a multi-day cycling event featuring supported routes and amenities, to support the organization’s programs.

Operates the Bikeatoga Workshop, a volunteer-run program that repairs used bicycles and returns them to community use. The workshop is open multiple days per week and provides bicycles to children on a donation basis year-round, with no one turned away for inability to pay.

Engages in advocacy to improve bicycling convenience, accessibility, and safety, including advocating for the inclusion of a bike lane on Henry Street during repaving and issuing press releases and letters to city officials to advance Complete Streets planning.

Provides access to detailed bikepacking routes, including route lengths, elevation profiles, and downloadable GPX files, and organizes overnight bikepacking trips beginning in Spring 2025.

Participates in community events such as Saratoga Outdoors Community Night and hosts the Ciclismo Classico Bike Travel Film Festival, including virtual editions featuring local artists.

Organizes regular community rides including Thursday evening social rides starting in April 2025, monthly family-friendly Slow Rolls in Saratoga, and overnight bikepacking trips beginning in Spring 2025. Also hosts an annual Members Celebration event.

Generates revenue by listing and selling bicycles, frames, and parts on eBay to fund shop operations, tools, parts, and safety equipment.

Hosts biannual kids' bike giveaways, typically in April and December, to provide bicycles to children in the community.

Offers membership benefits including a "Bicycle Benefits" sticker for discounts at local businesses, free annual bike inspections for Enthusiast-level members, 15% discounts on used bike purchases and $30 discounts on the Saratoga Foliage Ride for Advocate-level members, Fix-it Nights with tools and mechanic advice, and event notifications via email.

Played a key role in establishing and adopting a Complete Streets policy in Saratoga Springs and a Safe Routes to School Program in the Saratoga Springs School District.

Founded the Saratoga Bike to Work Challenge, an event that expanded across the Capital District and is now co-sponsored by The Capital District Transportation Committee.

Accepts donations of bicycles and parts to sustain and grow the bike sponsorship and youth cycling programs. Partners with organizations like Major Taylor Iron Riders to receive donated helmets and high-end parts for building and maintaining a fleet of program bikes.

Awards bike racing scholarships valued at approximately $5,000 annually to two young riders, including a new race-ready road bike, helmet, computer, shoes, kit, annual license, travel stipend, one-on-one coaching, and team placement support. Recipients are selected based on participation and achievement in cycling programs.

Provides education on nutrition, hydration, fueling for endurance riding and racing, and budget-friendly food shopping as part of youth cycling programs to support overall health and athletic performance.

Integrates social-emotional development into group rides and cycling programs, emphasizing teamwork, self-worth, self-determination, goal setting, and resilience to support youth personal growth.

Operates a free summer ride camp for children in New York City, using Trek’s NYC stores as a base and Trek-provided bicycles. The camp is supported by matching grants and donations covering operational costs, coaches, and equipment.

Teaches youth basic and advanced bicycle mechanics, including ABC quick checks, flat tire changes, chain repair, brake adjustments, bike cleaning, and identifying bike parts. Training supports long-term bike use and maintenance.

Provides structured instruction in bike safety, handling, and group ride etiquette, including emergency stopping, turning, communication, cornering, shifting, climbing, descending, pace line rotation, and bumping drills. Instruction is delivered to youth as part of cycling programs.
