How they approach the work

Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.

  • Leadership Development Through Holistic Skill Building
    methodology: leadership-development-model
By cultivating short-term outcomes like a strong sense of self, positive values, challenge seeking, and community problem solving, the organization builds long-term character, agency, and leadership capacity in girls because these incremental developmental milestones create a foundation for lifelong leadership.
  • Mission-Aligned Revenue Generation
    methodology: mission-aligned retail
By using product sales to advance the mission, the organization funds and extends its reach in building courage, confidence, and character in girls because revenue-generating activities are directly tied to program delivery and participant development rather than being commercially driven.
  • Personal Development Through Self-Discovery and Aspiration Setting
    methodology: personal-development-through-self-discovery
By supporting girls’ self-discovery and future aspirations, the organization fosters personal development because reflective exploration of identity and goals strengthens internal motivation and direction, which are prerequisites for confidence and leadership.
  • Program Diversity as Engagement Strategy
    methodology: diverse-programming
By offering diverse programming in areas such as STEM and outdoor education, the organization sustains engagement among girls with varied interests because access to multiple domains increases the likelihood of meaningful participation and skill development.
  • Volunteer Capacity Building for Program Quality
    methodology: volunteer-training-inclusion-and-mental-health
By training adult volunteers in inclusion and mental health, the organization enhances the quality and impact of its leadership programs because well-prepared adults are better equipped to support holistic girl development across emotional, social, and educational domains.
