How they approach the work
Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.
- Civilian-Veteran Bridge Buildingmethodology: community_screenings_for_public_educationBy publicly screening veteran-made films, we increase civilian understanding of veteran experiences and mental health challenges, because authentic storytelling fosters empathy and reduces stigma.
- Therapeutic Collaborative Storytellingmethodology: collaborative_filmmaking_therapyBy engaging veterans in collaborative filmmaking and storytelling, we reduce social isolation and support emotional processing of trauma, because shared creative expression validates lived experiences and rebuilds relational bonds.
- Veteran-Centered Narrative Empowermentmethodology: veteran-centered storytellingBy teaching film literacy and narrative expression to non-filmmakers, we cultivate creative voice and agency in veterans, because grounding storytelling in personal worldview enables meaningful self-representation and reintegration.
