- #1 primary $120KCHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES:THE HARTLEY HOUSE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO FOSTER THEIR LEARNING AND CREATIVE SKILLS IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WITH THE SUPPORT OF QUALIFIED AND DEVOTED STAFF. AFTER EVERY SCHOOL DAY, CHILDREN AGES 5 TO 12 ARE ESCORTED TO THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM UNTIL 6 P.M. DURING THIS TIME, THEY ARE GIVEN A NUTRITIOUS SNACK AND ENJOY A HEALTHY BALANCE OF PLAY, HOMEWORK HELP, ACADEMIC LEARNING, AND CREATIVE PROJECTS. THROUGH A PROJECT-BASED LEARNING COMMUNITY (LC) DESIGN TAUGHT BY A DEDICATED STAFF OF INSTRUCTORS, OUR STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH AFFORDABLE, HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAMMING THAT OFFERS EDUCATIONAL, ARTISTIC, AND ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES. THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM INCLUDES THE REGULAR SUPPORT OF AN ARTS CONSULTANT WHO PROVIDES HANDS-ON ARTS ENRICHMENT THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR.

THE ART CONSULTANT, IN CONCERT WITH THE STAFF, ESTABLISHES A PROJECT CALENDAR WITH MONTHLY THEMES - REASONS TO GIVE THANKS, HEALTH AND FITNESS, HOLIDAYS AROUND THE WORLD, ETC. - TO CREATE VARIETY THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR AND FOSTER THE CHILDREN'S CURIOSITY AND ANTICIPATION. WITHIN THIS FRAMEWORK, WE OFFER ART INSTRUCTION AND PROJECTS TO CHILDREN IN GRADES K-5 EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
