The Ambassador Program is the main fundraising mechanism for our organization that furthers our non-profit status. The majority of our fundraising activities derive from Direct Public Grants, Direct Public Support, Program Income, and Special Events Income. At the direction of the Board of Directors, funds are allocated to our programs based on the then needs.*During 2020, a Black Tie Gala and Fundraiser was held in January 2020 that accommodated some 200 attendees.*Awards were presented to eight performing artists in recognition for their support of our Ambassador program.*In spite of the COVID-19 Pandemic, two (2) Virtual events were held that attracted Global audiences that furthered our exempt status.
- #2 $0Per our form 1023 narrative: The Australian Community Inc. aims to provide Disaster Relief aid in the form of financial donations to established relief organizations. Given the close family ties of our donors and supporters, our Board of Directors made the decision to raise and send money to provide financial aid for victims of the 2019/2020 Australian Bushfires. Through use of our website, keywords, and our Google AdGrants, we successfully raised funds through the generous donations of Australians and Americans aligned with our charitable mission. This furthered our exempt status through building stronger bonds between Australia and the United States. All funds were distributed following the strict guidelines of our Foreign Mission Policy, including the publishing of Grant Use Reports on our public website at https://aucommunity.org/grant-use-reports-2020/ In addition to funding direct aid for firefighting equipment, mental health services, and supplies for annual rehabilitation, a Koala Rehabilitation Facility was constructed in Western Sydney from The Australian Communitys donations made to WIRES.
