- Host competitive shooting matches across multiple disciplinesOrganizes and hosts regular competitive shooting events including smallbore rifle, high power rifle, pistol, trap, muzzle loader, Garand, F-Class, Silhouette, Steel Shoots, Zombie Shoots, and NRA-registered matches open to the public or restricted to members. Events are held year-round at both Westbury and Calverton locations.
- Operate indoor and outdoor shooting ranges for members and guestsProvides 24/7 access to an indoor range in Westbury for smallbore rifle and pistol shooting with restrictions on lead mid-range loads, and operates an outdoor facility in Calverton with rifle, pistol, shotgun, and archery ranges, open from 8:30 am to dusk or 9:00 am to dusk depending on the source. Members may bring guests under specific fee and visitation limits.
- Provide firearms safety training and public education eventsConducts Hunter Safety Courses, Firearms Safety Courses, and public shooting events to promote safe handling and use of firearms. These events are open to the public and serve as educational outreach.
- Run a junior shooting program for youth developmentOperates one of the longest continuously running junior shooting programs on the East Coast, offering training in air and smallbore rifle, participation in matches, and pathways to awards through the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. The program has produced National Match winners, Olympians, and collegiate scholarship recipients. Sessions are held on select Saturdays from October to March, with summer match opportunities.
