USING FUNDS FROM THE NYC DEPARTMENT FOR THE AGING (DFTA) AND THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR THE AGING (NYSOFA), BPJCC DELIVERED KOSHER HOME-DELIVERED MEALS TO HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS, ENSURING NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY. BPJCC ALSO OFFERED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO FACILITATE ACCESS TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTED SENIORS WITH BENEFIT APPLICATIONS (SCRIE/DRIE, MEDICAID SPEND-DOWNS) AND PROVIDED CRISIS INTERVENTION, ENHANCING THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE. THESE SERVICES HAVE SUPPORTED THOUSANDS OF ELDERLY RESIDENTS, INCLUDING HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS, BY PROMOTING INDEPENDENCE AND DIGNITY, REINFORCING BPJCC'S ROLE AS A VITAL COMMUNITY LIFELINE.

THIS INITIATIVE WAS FUNDED BY THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES (SBS).
