This includes efforts to pass Practice Act and Title Act legislation, enable stamping and sealing rights for Certified Interior Designers, and allow participation in multi-disciplinary design partnerships.
- Education and information dissemination on professional and legislative issuesProvides education and information to New York legislative and regulatory bodies, interior designers, and consumers about issues affecting the interior design profession, including NCIDQ certification processes and state licensing requirements. Conducts town hall meetings and CEU presentations to support professional development and regulatory understanding.
- Professional certification support programsConducts annual winter certification series to prepare interior designers for NCIDQ certification and to support the path toward becoming a New York State Certified Interior Designer (NYS CID).
