How they approach the work

Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.

  • Intersectional Organizing to Challenge Structural Inequity
    methodology: intersectional_organizing
By centering women and people of color in organizing efforts, we produce more transformative change because addressing racial and gender inequities within the labor movement strengthens the challenge to racial capitalism, financialization, and systemic exploitation in the retail sector.
  • Research-Driven Accountability to Counter Corporate Power
    methodology: policy_and_research_advocacy
By producing and publicizing policy and corporate accountability research, we shift public discourse and weaken corporate influence because data and transparency expose inequities and empower workers and policymakers to demand change, particularly in health care, food assistance, and corporate political spending.
  • Strategic Leverage Point Targeting for Industry-Wide Change
    methodology: strategic_leverage_point
By targeting dominant corporations like Walmart, we produce broader labor reform across the service economy because systemic change is catalyzed by shifting norms and practices at industry anchor institutions that set standards for others.
  • Worker-Led Organizing as Systemic Change Engine
    methodology: worker-led_organizing
By centering workers in organizing and advocacy efforts, we produce structural change in corporate policies and labor standards because frontline leadership generates authentic, resilient movements that challenge racial capitalism, wealth inequality, and corporate power more effectively than top-down models.
