TO PROVIDE THE ONLY UNAFFILIATED JEWISH CEMETERY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK. ITS MEMBERS ACCEPT FOR BURIAL THOSE OF THE JEWISH FAITH WHO ARE INDIGENT, OR DECEASED PARTNERS/SPOUSES OF ANOTHER FAITH. THE COST OF THE BURIALS OF INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS IS ABSORBED BY THE CEMETERY AND THE GRAVES ARE MARKED BY A FLAT STONE MARKING. BURIALS: TO PROVIDE FOR THE BURIAL OF MEMBERS OF THE JEWISH FAITH AND THEIR FAMILIES BY MAINTAINING THE CEMETERY PROPERTY IN A RESPECTABLE MANNER. THIS ACTIVITY WAS INITIATED WHEN THE CEMETERY WAS FORMED IN 1909. THIS ACTIVITY IS CONDUCTED BY BOARD MEMBERS, OFFICERS AND VOLUNTEERS. BURIAL CUSTOMS: TO MAINTAIN BURIAL CUSTOMS OF THE JEWISH RELIGION IN KEEPING WITH THE RESPECT FOR ANCESTRY.
