Distributes free native seed kits, flower seed packs, and seed bombs during community Earth Day events and other outreach activities to promote native plant cultivation and ecological stewardship.

Manages and evolves multiple themed garden spaces in Brooklyn, including native plant sanctuaries, pollinator gardens, rose gardens, a pocket forest, sensory garden, and other specialized landscapes, with seasonal changes and volunteer-led care. These spaces serve as public green spaces, wildlife habitats, and living classrooms.

Offers educational programming and interactive workshops on topics including ornamental horticulture, succulent care, monarch conservation, and drawing in nature, running from spring through fall. These programs are delivered through the Cultivating Community Through Ornamental Horticulture initiative and similar volunteer-led efforts.

Manages an apiary program that supports pollination, produces honey and related products, and educates the public about bee population decline. Includes Betty's Pollinator Garden with nectar-rich plantings to promote pollinator health.

Restores tree pits in Bay Ridge with resilient, ecologically valuable plant species to improve urban aesthetics, support wildlife, and increase ecological value, including planting of spring bulbs and native species as part of the Cultivating Urban Resilience initiative.

Plans and implements capital and programmatic improvements such as the Sensory Garden, Native Turtle Pond Restoration, and Hybrid Tea Rose Garden using grants from organizations including the NYC Green Fund, Lily Auchincloss Foundation, and Jackson & Perkins.

Organizes and hosts annual events including Plant Sale, Lavender Day, Honey Day, and Fall Market, featuring products made from garden-grown materials and educational programming. Events include volunteer support and engage the public through sales, workshops, and sensory experiences.

Engages volunteers in planting, restoration, garden maintenance, visitor services, and event support. Organizes volunteer days for schools, companies, and community groups, and operates a weekend visitor program with volunteer staffing.

Runs an Artist in Residence program that integrates artistic practice with garden stewardship and seasonal interpretation, using the garden as a creative space for art and conservation.

Hosts the largest turtle rescue and rehabilitation program in New York City, maintaining the Turtle & Wildlife Sanctuary to support native turtles and urban wildlife through habitat design, conservation stewardship, and public education.
