How they approach the work
Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.
- CRAFT Approach for Family Engagementmethodology: craf_approachBy using the CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) method, families learn to set boundaries and maintain supportive connections without confrontation, thereby increasing the likelihood of treatment engagement because positive reinforcement and reduced conflict are more effective than coercion in motivating behavior change.
- Developmentally Informed, Family-Centered Preventionmethodology: developmentally_informed_preventionBy addressing substance use through a developmentally appropriate lens that strengthens family communication and parenting skills, the organization targets root causes and risk factors early because aligning prevention with adolescent development increases relevance and effectiveness in reducing initiation and escalation.
- Family as Agents of Change in Prevention and Recoverymethodology: family_as_agent_of_changeBy equipping families with evidence-based knowledge, peer support, and communication tools, they become effective agents in preventing youth substance use and supporting recovery because empowered families create protective environments and reduce stigma, enabling earlier and more sustained intervention.
- Integration of Research and Practice to Improve Care Systemsmethodology: research_informed_practiceBy grounding family support, policy advocacy, and service delivery in original research and data science, the organization improves the effectiveness of prevention and treatment systems because evidence-informed design leads to more responsive, scalable, and equitable interventions.
- Peer-Led Support with Clinical Oversightmethodology: peer_support_with_clinical_oversightBy combining lived experience with clinical guidance in peer-led support models, families gain practical, relatable strategies for managing substance use challenges because shared experience builds trust and engagement, while clinical oversight ensures safety and fidelity to evidence-based practices.
