PHILIPPINE JESUIT FOUNDATION

Provides financial assistance to support the educational, religious, apostolic, and charitable work of the Jesuit Province in the Philippines, including formation programs, seminaries, schools, parishes, and social ministries.

Provides annual financial subsidies to sustain rural parishes in Bukidnon and chaplaincy services at Bilibid Prison and Philippine General Hospital, ensuring continued pastoral care in underserved and institutional settings.

Receives bequests and planned gifts through wills, retirement plans, life insurance policies, bank accounts, and appreciated securities to ensure long-term funding for the Philippine Jesuit Province’s mission and operations.

Offers Ignatian retreats (30-day, 8-day, 5-day, 3-day) and spiritual programs through the Center for Ignatian Spirituality and Emmaus Center Foundation at retreat centers in Novaliches, Cebu, Malaybalay, Baguio, and Angono.

Finances the operation and administration of key Jesuit formation institutions in the Philippines, including Sacred Heart Novitiate, Loyola House of Studies, Loyola School of Theology, Philippine Province Tertianship, and Arrupe International Residence, as well as supporting San Jose Major Seminary and St. John Vianney Seminary for non-Jesuit priestly formation.

Provides scholarships for preschool Lumad children in Bukidnon and college students at Jesuit and non-Jesuit institutions, enabling economically disadvantaged students to access quality education.

Creates religious programming, socially critical media, and liturgical/spiritual music through the Jesuit Communications Foundation and Jesuit Music Ministry.

Offers family ministry services including counseling and family-strengthening programs through the Center for Family Ministry in Quezon City.

Provides emergency relief and mobilizes support for affected communities, such as during Typhoon Ulysses (Category-4 typhoon in Quezon Province).

Supports ERDA Technical School in Pandacan, Manila and SAPAK Experimental Farm in Cebu, which provide education and agricultural training to uplift poor and marginalized communities.

Conducts capacity-building programs that train religious and church leaders from the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.

Provides access to essential medicines for Lumad indigenous communities in Bukidnon province and trains local volunteer health workers to deliver basic healthcare services.

Finances targeted development initiatives such as providing larger boats for fishermen in Casiguran, Aurora, to expand fishing range and serve as student transportation, reducing travel time and improving livelihoods.

Supports a network of social justice and advocacy institutions including the Institute of Social Order, Institute on Church and Social Issues, Institute of Environmental Science for Social Change, Ugnayan at Tulong sa Maralitang Pamilya Foundation, Philippine Jesuit Prison Service, and 30 school-based or socially oriented organizations through the Society of Jesus Social Apostolate.

Manages multiple parishes in Cabanglasan, Pangantucan, Zamboanguita, Miarayon (Bukidnon), San Juan (Cebu), Iloilo, Culion (Palawan), and Lumbia (Cagayan de Oro), with a focus on serving poor and indigenous populations.

Directly operates five universities—Ateneo de Manila, Ateneo de Naga, Xavier University, Ateneo de Davao, and Ateneo de Zamboanga—and three basic-education schools: Xavier High School, Ateneo de Cebu-Sacred Heart Jesuit School, and Ateneo de Iloilo-Sta. Maria High School.

Operates the Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, offering board, lodging, medical care, and monthly medicine for 25–27 retired Jesuits, with total monthly operating costs of USD 68,000 and USD 12,500 spent monthly on medicine alone.
