Provides meals and supplemental groceries to children through summer nutrition programs, backpack initiatives, and enrichment-linked meal services. Serves over 800 children monthly, with recent annual distributions totaling 189,148 meals to children via summer programs and 271,594 meals community-wide.

Enables children from low-income families to attend summer camps as part of the Backpack Kids program, expanding access to recreational and developmental opportunities during school breaks.

Organizes major annual events including the Polar Bear Plunge at Cooper’s Beach—participated in by over 300 people and supported by more than 800 attendees—and the Moonlit Plunge to raise funds for year-round Food Pantry and Assistance Programs. The Polar Bear Plunge alone has raised over $2 million since 2004.

Distributes a week's worth of groceries, holiday meal kits, and fresh proteins like turkeys or hams to individuals and families in need. The food pantry serves over 3,200 households annually in the Town of Southampton and distributed over 500,000 meals worth of groceries in recent reporting periods.

Offers emergency financial aid for rent, home heating, electric bills, medical transportation, and fuel oil, along with medical assistance funding and support during crises. Provided $170,825 in direct financial assistance in one reporting year and supports individuals experiencing acute hardship.

Provides backpacks, school supplies, clothing, new shoes, and holiday gifts to low-income children. Organizes an annual holiday gift donation drive, collects specific requested items via a star program, and distributes unwrapped gifts to ensure appropriateness.

Provides themed Activity Book Bags containing books, crafts, and activities to support family engagement and learning.

Does not charge fines or fees for overdue Newark Public Library materials to promote equitable access.

Finances building expansions and enhancements to library facilities, including a 1989 expansion that increased library space to 16,500 square feet.

Provides access to a curated digital collection on the Civil Rights Movement, including biographies, photographs, and articles.

Provides printing and copying services at $0.25 per black and white page and $0.50 per color page, and offers outgoing faxing with document shredding for confidentiality.

Runs a food pantry in partnership with Foodlink and Wegmans to serve community members in need.

Maintains a Teen Room for ages 11–17 and a Children's Room for children up to age 11, offering age-appropriate books, media, seating, computers, and designated areas for play and socializing.

Co-manages the Hoffman Clock Museum in partnership with the Hoffman Foundation since 1954.

Administers the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program for children birth to five and participates in an annual Summer Reading Program with themed events and prizes to promote reading.
