Symbolic Action for Collective Aspiration

Facilitates the collection of peace intentions from children, adults, and municipal officials, which are symbolically placed into the Peace Torch during relay events to represent global hopes for peace.

Conducts local peace runs and torch-passing ceremonies across multiple states, including relays of varying distances such as 56.0 miles from Kalamazoo to Chelsea, MI, and 27 miles from La Crosse to Richland Center, WI. These events engage school children, community members, and local leaders in symbolic acts of peace.

Presents Torch Bearer Awards, Certificates of Appreciation, and original artwork by Sri Chinmoy to individuals and institutions—including educators, community leaders, and youth volunteers—in recognition of their service and contributions to peace and community well-being.

Organizes and administers a long-distance torch relay on foot, both globally and within the United States, to foster goodwill and international unity. The relay has visited over 160 nations and territories since 1987 and includes a planned 5-month journey across all 50 U.S. states in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Set a Guinness World Record on April 10, 2014, by translating and reading a poem in 206 languages, promoting linguistic diversity and global unity as part of its advocacy mission.

Plants Peace Trees in public spaces such as Wentworth Gardens and dedicates them to community figures, and collects soil samples from across the 50 states as part of a symbolic initiative to support future Peace Tree plantings and national unity.

Hosts public peace ceremonies and community gatherings in cities such as Viroqua, Wisconsin, and Chicago Chinatown, often in collaboration with local organizations. Events include community singing, moments of silence, and symbolic offerings of peace, such as peace flowers or soil samples.

Delivers presentations about the Peace Run at community centers, youth centers, and public buildings such as the Major Adams Community Committee building, Wentworth Gardens, and the Gary Comer Youth Centre, often including educational content on inner peace and endurance.

Visits schools, summer camps, and youth centers—including Go Like The Wind Montessori School, Plymouth-Canton Montessori School, and Hickory Hills Academy—to conduct peace run activities, educate children about relay races, and involve youth in torch-passing ceremonies and peace intentions.

Coordinates and promotes environmentally conscious projects conducted by Rotary clubs in District 7120, including maintaining a Facebook page to publicize these efforts.

Facilitates cultural and educational exchange by coordinating activities among Rotary clubs in the district to send young Americans abroad and host foreign youth.

Provides grants to local organizations to acquire personal protective equipment (PPE) and related items during disaster response efforts.

Organizes an 18-hole golf tournament that includes cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes for participants to support district initiatives.

Hosts weekly meetings featuring speakers on diverse topics to broaden members' perspectives and foster community engagement.

Plants Peace Poles inscribed with the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in multiple languages across communities in District 7120 to promote reflection and unity, and maintains a map of installed poles.

Hosts an annual literacy seminar with a thematic focus on financial topics to promote education and awareness.

Organizes and funds a week-long leadership training seminar for selected individuals aged 18–24, covering all associated costs and training.

Delivers training for incoming Rotary club presidents and offers ongoing leadership development and learning resources in fundraising, nonprofit management, event planning, and communications to members with responsibilities.
