Creates choreography that draws on classical ballet, Amazonian Rainforest shamanistic rituals, and experimental movement techniques involving altered states of consciousness, dreams, and trance, while integrating geometry, rhythm, and off-balance motions to convey emotional and conceptual ideas.

Pays a roster of 65 dancers a weekly salary and hires designers for costume, set, and lighting design as part of ongoing performance production; also employs cast and crew through IAmADancerFilms for screen-based dance works including art films and hybrid documentaries.

Preserves and maintains an archive of materials related to Karole Armitage’s career, including papers, photographs, videos, costumes, and artifacts that document her choreographic and production history.

Offers dance classes, workshops, and educational programs for K–12 students at the Abrons Art Center/Henry Street Settlement, alongside public engagement through performances and company-led activities.

Creates and presents new dance-related, interdisciplinary artistic works, including live and multimedia performances in parks, theaters, historic homes, and through formats such as flip books, voicemail, and live and recorded Zoom sessions.

Conducts educational workshops for students at colleges, universities, elementary and middle schools, and provides movement training for professional artists.

Engages in creative research by documenting and publishing the artistic development process, including the publication of a book compiling Dmitry Krymov's diary entries that capture initial ideas and impulses for future theatrical works.

Provides interpretation and logistical coordination for Dmitry Krymov’s master classes and theatrical productions in the United States, including engagements at Yale University and the New School for Social Research.

Participates in and maintains artist-in-residence positions at arts centers, including a residency at the Arts Center at Governors Island through LMCC in 2022 and a current residency at FiveMyles in Brooklyn, to support artistic development and collaboration.

Creates and presents original theatrical works, including adaptations of classic texts and new productions, through mainstage runs, workshops, and international touring. Recent productions include "Uncle Vanya," "Metamorphoses," "Three Love Stories Near the Railroad," and "Pushkin 'Eugene Onegin' in our own words," staged between 2022 and 2026 at venues such as La MaMa in New York City and as part of the Under the Radar Festival.

Dmitry Krymov serves as writer and director for Krymov Lab Inc.'s productions, providing creative vision and leadership for all staged works, including adaptations and original pieces.

Produces site-responsive mini-performances and events such as the Pop-Up Gesture Store and Pickpocket Dance Party, which include participatory tutorials and explore themes of currency, intimacy, and physical presence through movement and gesture.

Creates and presents multi-iteration performance projects such as COVERS and SeNSATE, where each performance builds on the previous one through live transformation, durational formats, and audience mobility across performance spaces.

Performs and exhibits choreographic scores such as "weedy scores" and "Rhizomatic Dreaming" in non-traditional venues including the Schuylkill Center and Transformer Gallery, often in collaboration with environmental or interdisciplinary collectives.

Designs and facilitates participatory art installations such as swaddling experiences inspired by Temple Grandin’s squeeze machine and reciprocal exchange practices, where audience members receive sensory comfort and are invited to offer a gesture in return, fostering reflection on human connection and embodiment.

Creates and presents evening-length and durational dance-theater performances that integrate research and interdisciplinary themes, such as human-animal empathy, medical technology, repression, and death. These works are developed through extensive rehearsal and presented at venues including Danspace Project, Guggenheim Works and Process, and LAB gallery.
