Offers advisory services in business modeling, monetization, AI adoption, and management systems to strengthen the financial sustainability and operational resilience of independent media companies. In 2025, provided support to 82 media companies and hosted 16 knowledge-sharing events.

Funds and delivers training programs, convenings, and resource-sharing initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of media organizations.

Annually awards college scholarships to graduating high school seniors from designated schools in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, and California, with recent recipients attending institutions such as Montclair State University and pursuing degrees in fields like psychology and computer science.

Produces investigative reporting that leads to tangible public outcomes, including policy reforms, increased transparency, institutional responses, and community action—such as exposing permissive industrial permitting, nonexistent regulations, wastewater spill data gaps, lead pipe risks, and fracking waste practices—resulting in governmental or corporate accountability.

Produces and distributes original climate reporting, curated news digests, and headline summaries via free daily and weekly email newsletters to subscribers nationwide, with content focused on climate, energy, environmental justice, and health disparities.

Conducts in-depth investigative reporting on climate change, environmental health, energy policy, and environmental injustice; exposes scientific misinformation, polluters, and regulatory failures; and chronicles environmental policy changes under federal administrations. This includes award-winning coverage recognized with honors such as the Pulitzer Prize.

Strengthens environmental journalism by operating fellowship programs and providing hands-on newsroom training, freelance assignments, and summer reporting fellowships for early-career journalists focusing on climate, environment, and justice issues.
