  • Multi-Layered Prevention for Sudden Cardiac Death
methodology: multi-layered prevention for sudden cardiac death
By combining AED placement, CPR/AED training, public education on commotio cordis, and free heart screenings, the foundation prevents sudden cardiac death in youth athletes because a comprehensive, layered approach addresses both immediate response and underlying risk factors.
  • Policy Advocacy for Systemic AED Access
    methodology: policy-advocacy-for-AED-access
By advocating for legislative mandates requiring AEDs in schools and public venues, the foundation increases survival from sudden cardiac arrest because policy change ensures widespread, equitable, and sustained access to life-saving devices.
  • Public Awareness and Education as Prevention
    methodology: awareness-campaign
By raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and the importance of AEDs through targeted education and national campaigns, the foundation drives adoption of life-saving measures because informed communities are more likely to implement and support AED access and emergency readiness.
  • Values-Based Scholarship to Promote Community Impact
    methodology: values-based scholarship
By awarding scholarships that recognize and reward kindness, compassion, modesty, and selflessness, the foundation fosters positive community impact because reinforcing prosocial values in youth encourages lasting cultural change and collective responsibility.
