What they reported doing
- #1 primary $1.09MNARRATIVE SHIFT & COMMUNITY GROWTHSUPERMAJORITY ED FUND'S NARRATIVE SHIFT AND COMMUNITY GROWTH PROGRAM AIMS TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE AROUND WOMEN'S CIVIC POWER THROUGH CUTTING SOCIAL LISTENING AND EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGNS. THROUGH THIS WORK, OUR AIM IS TO CREATE TANGIBLE WAYS TO OVERCOME THE BARRIERS TO CIVIC PARTICIPATION WITHIN OUR TARGET AUDIENCE OF YOUNG WOMEN, SPECIFICALLY WOMEN OF COLOR. WE BELIEVE THAT THROUGH KNOWING WHAT YOUNG WOMEN PRIORITIZE MOST, WE CAN BETTER CREATE CONCRETE WAYS TO ACHIEVE THOSE PRIORITIES. OUR AIM IS TO ENGAGE YOUNG WOMEN WHO INFREQUENTLY OR DO NOT VOTE BY UNDERSTANDING THEIR FEELINGS TOWARDS CIVIC PARTICIPATION, POLICY PRIORITIES, COMMUNITY IDENTITY, AND SHARED POWER. BY DEVELOPING CONTENT TO BE SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS YOUNG WOMEN FREQUENT, WE CAN BEGIN TO ADDRESS THEIR OBJECTIONS, HELP THEM DEVELOP A SENSE OF IDENTITY, AND A BELIEF THAT COLLECTIVE POWER OF YOUNG WOMEN CAN TRANSFORM OUR CURRENT CONDITIONS BECAUSE IT HAS IN THE PAST.
- #2 $371KMOBILIZATIONSUPERMAJORITY EDUCATION FUND'S MOBILIZATION PROGRAM IS BUILDING STATE-POWER THROUGH OUR WORK IN TARGET STATES OF ARIZONA, MICHIGAN AND PENNSYLVANIA. OUR KEY STRATEGY IS TO DEVELOP A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF, AND BUILD LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR TARGET VOTERS: YOUNG WOMEN AND WOMEN OF COLOR, BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-35, WHO DO NOT HAVE A CONSISTENT VOTING RECORD. IN 2025 WE PRIORITIZED CONTACTING YOUNG WOMEN WHO DECIDED NOT TO VOTE IN 2024 TO BETTER UNDERSTAND WHY AND DEVELOP SUBSEQUENT HYPOTHESES AND TESTABLE TACTICS TO ADDRESS YOUNG WOMEN VOTERS' VALID CONCERNS IN UPCOMING ELECTIONS. WE CONTACTED THESE YOUNG WOMEN BY TRAINING VOLUNTEERS TO HAVE VALUES-BASED DEEP CANVASSING CONVERSATIONS OVER THE PHONE AND ON THEIR DOOR STEPS.

How they approach the work
Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.
- Adaptive, Community-Led Organizingmethodology: adaptive movement organizingBy evolving organizing strategies and relocating power to local, community-centered models based on women’s lived experiences, we sustain movement strength because responsiveness to current conditions and grassroots leadership increases relevance and effectiveness.
- Collective Power Narrative Framingmethodology: collective_power_narrativeBy framing abortion access and gender justice within a broader narrative of women's collective power, we expand civic engagement because stories that connect individual rights to systemic change inspire greater mobilization than issue-specific appeals.
- Deep Canvassing for Values-Based Political Engagementmethodology: deep canvassingBy conducting empathetic, one-on-one conversations, we shift voting behavior and strengthen political engagement among infrequent voters because personal dialogue rooted in shared values fosters deeper connection to civic action than transactional outreach.
- Leadership Development Through Community-Centered Dialoguemethodology: leadership-developmentBy engaging women—especially young women and women of color—in vision-setting conversations and leadership training, we build collective political power because centering lived experience and existing skills cultivates authentic, sustainable movement leadership.
- Research-Informed Movement Buildingmethodology: research-driven programmingBy partnering with research agencies and using data on young women’s beliefs and values, we design more effective programming and narrative strategies because evidence-based insights increase the relevance and impact of advocacy and education efforts.
